Can't remember unfortunately exactly what it tasted like. Just 2 things are clear. One: the wine is really crazy, so it is only going to appeal to a very particular audience. And two: it was fantastic. Citrus and bee wax still there, we even had nori leaves. The mouthfeel was incredible.

Visiting Roxanich winery (Istria, Croatia) : Tasted at the winery after the 2009 and 2008 vintages. The nose was shy on this one, but the palate was really great, with honeyed and waxy tastes, very interesting and complex.

Big full on white. Needs food, and even stood up to lamb, and chilli. Initially seemed almost demi-sec, sherry like, but then moved onto be a full on oaked white. Different, and enjoyable.

14% alc. Winemaker Mladen Rozanic (Младен Рожанич), Western Istria. Orange colour. Salty, briny aromas, on a full side, flavours of figs and Ceylon tea, idiosyncratic. Lasting finish. VG. Tasting at One in Porto Montenegro. 30 euros retail.
