After having the 2018 Manchester Ridge Blanc de Blancs from them a couple weeks ago, I opted to open the rosé to have the styles fresh on my mind. It has probably been 4-5yrs since I last had a sparkler from Brick & Mortar, so when some buddies visited their winery recently and raved about them, I ended up with a BdB and a Rosé to try. A bit too sweet on PNP. Corked it up and came back a week later. Now really tasty — not in a champagne sort of way but more like a really good sparkling Radler with some brioche and texture on the persistent finish. Very quaffable but not intense linear champagne. Or maybe one with a bit (quite a bit) of dosage. Maybe some cellaring would help based on the improvement over the last week. ?? QPR @ $85.
