Popped & poured and showed nice balance from the start. Improved as it opened up, dark berry fruit, mild acidity, soft tannins, medium finish. Good PQR, drinking well & likely has a year or 3 left.

Needs a good decant. Lots of oak on the nose PnP. Much better after about 2 hours decant. Still plenty of dark fruit to last for years. Tannins are pretty solid and integrated.

Nez intense d'allumette et de fruits...prune broyée. Un vin souple, ample, rond et fondu aux saveurs de fruits mûrs, de sucre d'orge, de tabac et de notes grillées...complexe, harmonieux et très charmeur ! Moyenne à longue finale veloutée. Prêt à boire et délicieux !

Drank after hour decant. Surprisingly good for price compared to other Napa Cabs we have recently had from 2012. Drinking well right now but still has some time left. Not overly complex but we enjoyed it at home with steak.

Maybe top ten 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon I have had. This in comparison to the other top nine is on the cheaper side. This one is hitting big and I think could easily go another three years. It is definitely not on the back side of drink window. I Love Cade wines and this is one of the best Napa vintages I have drank. In fact we had this wine a few years back with some friends and it hands down …

A big wine that needs a bit more time...wonderful potential. Nez de fruits noirs...cassis, de barrique, d'épices, de sous-bois et d'encre. Un vin fruité aux tannins bien intégrés. Texturé, ample, rond aux saveurs de vanille (pas trop). Moyenne à longue finale sur de notes de chocolat noir amer. Début de son apogée...boire d'ici quelques années encore.

Nice full cab. Solid fruit wine, but not overwhelming. While it doesnt have the velvet tongue, it is reasonably smooth. This was a coravined sample but I think it needs 2 hr in the decanted.

Like five people shouting at the same time. Unhinged jumble of extracted fruit, deep smoky graphite, waves of bitter blackberry, moderate oak, and an odd sweet dried cranberry finish. A disorganized mess, but this one goes to eleven. Pass.

Port? Tasted like stewed prunes, plums and raisins. No decant so the port comparison may be premature, but might be a bad bottle. 79 is a gift. So disappointing...maybe an off bottle.

Black licorice aromas with cedar/oak background. Dark deep ruby color. Pencil lead,blackberry,hints of dust. Long lasting. Goes for a long time.
