Not the fruit bomb that it was on release. A little hot but well balanced Napa Cab.

Maybe the perfect drinking age where the bouquet is still powerful with a velvet finish on the tongue. Enjoy it now if you have it...about to eat some fillets with it to celebrate.

A little variation from bottle to bottle, but still excellent. Def drink now - at least judging by those we had today.

Surprisingly very primary even at approaching 10 years. Very easy drinker with limited tannins, if tasted blind would have guessed Merlot.

Excellent if not quite up to the 2010 or esp the 2012 which I've had several times. In a good spot maturity-wise. Soft cassis with a nice lingering tannic grip and balancing acid.

This bottle showed much better than the last one in December. This time decanted for 4 hours. Was bold, taut, and intense. Last bottle was more flabby. Bottle variation I guess.

On PnP, the nose had lot of heat and menthol notes. Palate was muted and primary with black/blue fruits, medium tannins and low acid. Drank half the bottle and vacu-vin the rest Day 1 score 86. On day 3, this become more interesting, with licorice, anise, earth, bacon/smoked meats, and blue fruits. I would hold this for another few years or give it lots of air.

Yes, consistent with previous notes, still very "grapey" - but not bad. Who knows what will happen to this.....

Very similar to my last bottle in April. Well made, earthy cab with dusty tannins. Held up well over two days (best on second day). Some mocha notes. Nice QPR at auction pricing.

Still packing a punch with bold tannins and dark fruit. Perhaps still a bit green and herbal. This still seems like it needs more years in the cellar to come together. Probably 88 points. Update on day 3 - this has blossomed nicely. Still a bit of tannin poking through on the finish but complimenting the ample blackberry and blueberry fruit. Improved to 90 points. Some coffee and earthiness developing.

A bit greener compared to the 2010 Liparita Oakville. Juicy acidity. Chalky tannins. The alcohol is felt on the finish.

91 Points. Full-bodied, dry, spicy, savory, & slightly-unbalanced wine which took 2-3 hours in the glass/decanter to open up & soften the tannins enough to be approachable. However, even after 6+ hours of decanting, the tannins still dominated the earthy taste profile, obscuring most of the fruit flavors evident in the nose and providing only hints of cassis & blackberries. Medium-long finish. Overall this is a decent big Cab that is tasty, but which lacks finesse and whose dark fruit …

This had all the "purples" covered. Smelled like grapes and violets. Medium body, not terribly complex but tasty. I was eating pizza, which may not have been the best pairing to get the nuances of the wine. But it feels like it's a "drink now" sort of thing.

Definitely needed a couple of hours to blossom. This is a really good mid-week cab. Plush dark fruit with good underlying structure. Pleasant finish. Definitely worth the $35 it costs to buy on WineBid these days. Not memorable buy enjoyable.

Delicious cabernet - far more complex than the Liparita Oakville offering from the same vintage. This wine is in a great place and feels like it could stay there for a decade or more. Excellent value as well.

The wine was past its prime. Still enjoyable, but the fruit degraded to a monodimensional sour cherry note, that I really had to coax to expand into a faint resemblance of its younger glory. I do have more recent vintages, and I will not wait too long to consume them.

Lots of blue in the color moves it away from red. Very little fruit on entry—some blueberry, some cassis. Maybe I would describe it as dried fruit—plum—without sweetness. More savoriness than I normally get in CS. Tannins are quite stiff.

Decanted this 3 hours and drank over another hour and a half. This was ruby in color. This is a full bodied wine with structure and tannins to still lay down for a while and improve with age. While this is well made the flavor profile is not in my wheelhouse.

Deep purple showing its youthfulness. A little too young at this moment, but the fruit shall and will outlast the tannins. Very structured. Text-book steak wine. You will be rewarded for being patient.

Sort of in a dim stage right now, transitioning from intense to complex. Dark and nearly opaque, clear halo in color, with pretty aromas of cassis and black fruit that carry to palate in a soft, sort of muddled mix of blackberry and black cherry. Just a hint of oak and vanilla, with smooth, round tannins in the background. Should evolve nicely in the next 4-5 years.

We opened this to decant and it just got better & continued to open up as we drank it through dinner & afterwards. This is such an interesting and terrific wine that I don't think too many know about. Very dark burgundy, some choc & tobacco notes with a bit of fruity & vanilla for a lovely finish. Superb and I hope I can get my hands on another bottle. This is the 2nd time I've had it (last was …

Nose of raspberry jam, ocean, eucalyptus, and strawberry. Tasted strawberry right away. Nice tannins - not too bitter - good presence. Well balanced. Salty. Maybe some beef. Maybe some vanilla. Not overly fruity. 15.4% ABV - definitely feel it on the nose. Time to buy a case? This is bottle number two. Drinking much better than the 2012 Caymus. This is a steak wine.
