Unusually good considering provenance (auction), age (~13 years), and price ($20). Cherry cola nose, subtle spaces, dark chocolate. Palate largely follows. Better than most $20 pinots you can find.

Past drink date of 2018, but I think it's fantastic!

Overly tart, lacking fruit and any kind of depth.

Totally oxidized. Smells of Madeira. Have to assume this is a bad sample.

Ruby red. Classic medium plus intensity Pinot nose of bright red fruit, including cherry, raspberry, and red currant, with underlying oak spices. It is dry and Shows bright acidity and medium body on the palate, with cherry, raspberry, and cranberry fruits over baking spice, with supple tannins and a short finish. Good concentration without being jammy, and some hints of that classic Pinot snappiness. A nice Oregon Pinot.

Strawberry, tart, pinot. Decent but quite hot especially on the first night.

Dobbes has deftly crafted a high-quality wine with this blend from multiple Willamette Valley vineyard sources. Medium ruby and nicely aromatic, it serves up raspberries, cranberries, clove and earth on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, fresh and with unnoticeable alcohol (listed as 14.2%), it wraps the flavors with medium-weight, fine-grained tannins. The middle palate is solid and leads to tart, medium-length finish. This delicious Pinot should be at its best over the next five years. Drink now-2020.

Pretty good dose of funk on the nose upon initial opening, followed by dough and berry. Funk blows off in about an hour. Color is a light ruby, typical. Palate is sweet and fruit forward, a nice level of spice as well. Similar to Evening Land and others of this type.
