No rating - Heavy brettanomyces (brett), does anyone know if this is deliberate or not? It felt to prominent for me, spoiled the experience. The underlying wine felt promising if it wasnt for the brett.

After a serie of blah "aromatically" wines, come this treasure. It has aromatics of cherry fruit, cedar wood and tobacco leaf. In mouth the fruit is elegant with floral notes and sweet cherries. Mouthfeel is smoothing and velvety. Finish is balanced with acidity emerging that sort of ruins the finish. Perhaps designed to age and as so it is young at 6 years.

Brick red color. Great nose - sandalwood, tobacco, sweet cherry, rose petals and sour cherry. Medium+ body, medium acidity, velvety tannins and long finish. Good on night 2 as well. 92-93+ Will buy some more. Would be good to add to a Brunello tasting.
