Woodenhead Zinfandel Guido Venturi Vineyard

I have cool cellared this wine since released via wine club. Woodenhead Zins have always appealed to my palate. This wine has aged well. 15.3 abv doesn’t hurt. Enough acidity to balance with tannins allowing the tart fruit to move from start to finish. Some dark cherry nose and flavor. The Venturi vineyard produces consistently good fruit sourced by Woodenhead. I’m glad I saved a few of these as this wine still drinks good. That said I enjoy big, mature …
