FLX Trip December '21; 12/15/2021-12/16/2021 (Lower East Seneca Lake) : Very nice dry Riesling. Haven't enoyed some of the '19 dry Rieslings on Seneca. They've been a bit ripe and for ward for me. But this one is nice. Green orchard and tropical fruits are apparent but so is the honeysuckle, key lime, and crushed rock. Lively on the palate, no alcohol. Will certainly develop.

On PnP, some more orchard fruits are evident on the nose. Acid is slightly brighter and some lime zest and tangy quality on the finish. Otherwise, tasting room notes hold up. Drink now and for another 5+ years. Excellent 91.

Tasted at the winery. Nose has orange and purple flowers, tropical fruit, and tangerine. Full bodied with flavors of mango, other tropical fruits, and melon. Ripe acidity and a balanced profile. Finishes med(+). Excellent 91.

2019 was a sensational year for the basic dry Riesling at Ryan William. Watery gold hue, with a lovely sweet nose that has a hint of petrol, almost like orange marmalade. Very aromatic... On the palate, rich mouthfeel, excellent acidity, fades to a saline mineral note that works very well. 92 now and should age quite well: 92+ with the potential to gain a few points by peak a decade or so from now. Bravo!
