Barely OK. Not worth the money ($16)

Impressive, most impressive. Gravel and graphite nose, some dark fruit, later on some of the alcohol shows itself, but no matter - this wine is $16 and can be gulped down happily. Tiniest amount of burnt earth too. really lovely on the palate, well balanced, iron and blood, ripe fruit, bright acids, a great example of modern Chinon - nicely ripe and extracted, and still definitely of its place.
