A: Pale brown N: Medium (+) notes of bruised apple, sourdough, nuts, raisins, smoke, honey, wet leaf, tobacco P: Sweet, medium acid, high alcohol, medium (+) body, medium (+) intensity and long finish. 100% macabeu/viiura. The acetaldehyde here reminds me of old white Rioja and amontillado sherry. However, this is sweet so not Amontillado and not sweet enough to be a medium or cream sherry. Outstanding quality wine. Its complex, balanced sugar and acid, superb length and fine intensity.

By the glass. Oxidized, intense, acidic, intense, concentrated on the palate with notes of cocoa powder, old barrel and tangerine. Aristocrat elixir. A wine out of the canons. The best, for the end. Enjoyed with burnt basque cheesecake

I concur exactly with Double-A's note (although for me 93 rather than 95). Wonderful stuff.

Deep, tawny brown colour. Expressive, nutty and raisined nose. Alcohol is warm but not hot; the palate is sweet with a good level of acid for balance; distinctly nutty flavours and finish; great length. 5/5 The nuttiness of a PX sherry, the sweetness (but not all the alcohol of Port) with the acid of a Madeira. A beautiful marriage.

That's kinda crazy stuff. Not that good either.

High alcohol content, burnt caramel, mouthfeel - medium thin +, moderate finish. Coravin 1 glass.

A nice sweet wine. Drank on its own as a dessert; would also pair well with caramel drizzled over ice cream.
