Lovely dark ink in the glass. Massive, outstanding bouquet of alcohol and fruit, hits you within 6 inches of the wine. After some initial stiffness, within 30mins a full bodied, soft, dark fruit and balanced tannins on the front palate. After an hour it has softened to a rich chocolate on the palate, superb. Some back palate acid, tannin and alcohol, but well in control. Next day i also get a touch of caramel in the nose. Palate has even …
