Nose is a bit tight. There are aroma of red berries, earthy clove, dry herbs and cedar. Palate is restrained but clean. Medium-bodied in structure. Somewhat linear for now and will need more time for the aromatics to open up. Decanting this for at least 2-3 hours is necessary.

Great Nose with fresh and complex aromas of bright fruit and underwood. elegant structure with cranberrys and sweeter cherries and savoury notes reminding me on euclyptus, great acidity and longlasting bright finish.

Light ruby with tiny bit of brick 1h in On the nose, raspberries, dates, longan fruit, mushroom, forest floor Palate matches the nose Very airy and light Amazing acidity Reminiscent of time staying at Trapet. Da best.

Same Btl As BradE & my btl again. Completely agree with Brad's take. This showed well at home upon opening but seemed to close down through dinner. Couple years ago everybody loved it. One left and I'll hold onto it till 2025-2030.

Nez captivant : fruits rouges, feuille froissée, épices, pierre chauffée, léger trait sanguin, un peu d'orange, de fleurs et de notes fumées. C'est expressif et envoûtant vraiment très très joli. On y revient sans cesse, un signe qui ne trompe pas ! L'attaque est ronde sur un léger moelleux puis passe immédiatement sur une trame beaucoup plus élancée. Le toucher est soyeux et il se dégage au final beaucoup d'élégance, de pureté et de sérénité. L'équilibre est parfait, aucune sensation …

Aromas are still quite primary with lots of black fruit, spice and smoke. While I really enjoyed the abundance of balanced fruit and spice, this isn't really evoking Gevrey just yet. Tasty now but better in 5+ years as this sheds its primary character.

Day1: Very strong. Making me seriously regret having sold some due to the solar vintage. Really, really good Day2: Hmmm, starting to show hints of plum and raisin on the nose after all Lesson here might be that these are very enjoyable now but have the potential to become more marked by the vintage as they age. The wine is in good place now so I'd lean towards drinking these over the coming 5 years.

Heidi's Redux Group: Memorable Wines (Ciao Bella, Mpls) : Medium dark red plus color. Decanted for 2 hours. Drank a glass plus over 90 minutes. This was another big winner. Deep and sultry on the nose, lithe herbs, complex spices, deeply earthy. The palate has that sappy deep red fruit too. Love this; so many of these '09 are good early drinkers.

My first of 3 btls and I'm excited as hell to own 2 more. Said to be from two parcels of vines in Chapelle proper, one planted in '65 and the other in '38. That's truly "old vines" and it shows in what you both smell and taste here. Nice nose that is stemmy and floral, more spice than earthy rusticity. Medium red cherry. Youthful and has oak polish that is fairly integrated. Palate is fine, a little angular but still a nice drink. Had alongside the ‘09 Latricieres-Chambertin which was more or less indistinguishable. Nose 91, palate 90.

La plus belle de mes 3 bouteilles. À point! Un nez très floral, délicat mais expressif. La bouche est très équilibrée: le cassis, les fleurs, un peu de terre et de mousse. Une finale soyeuse. De la grande classe!

This was drinking incredibly well for a 9 year-old Grand Cru - but it was drinking well as a young wine...it has a long way to go to develop fully. Welcomes you with arms wide open, in that 2009 kind of way. Fruit is almost plush at the beginning. Then shows nice complexity - leather and autumn leaves. This wine could go decades, but since this was an orphan bottle in my cellar, I'm unlikely to follow its progression.

Je m'attendais à beaucoup mais de fut une légère déception. On sentait de la matière dans ce vin, aucun doute en GC mais il y avait une lourdeur. Le fruit semblait cuit, probablement l'effet 2009. Pour le reste la longueur est bonne et la bouche est soyeuse.

Un vin structuré et tannique mais équilibré, velouté, avec une belle minéralité. En ce moment, beaucoup de mûres et de framboises, un peu de cassis derrière, mais évidemment encore très jeune. Une belle découverte - ça va être grand!
