50% Grenache and 50% Carignan, this selection is produced in the chalky, clay soils and Mediterranean climate of Montsant. Aged 9 months in French oak barrels this wine is earthy on the nose with moist tobacco, mushrooms, moss, and damp earth. On the palate tart cherries and underripe plum.

Spices, sour plums, dark berries & lemon with firm tannins. Nice juicy acidity. A slight touch out of balance - the acidity, spices, & tannins stand out over the other elements.

This opaque ruby wine is a blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Carignan. Intensely aromatic, it offers scents of lavender, dark bramble fruits, minerals and allspice. Medium-to-full-bodied, freshly acidic and without noticeable alcohol (13.5%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and wraps them with medium sweet tannins. Dense on the mid-palate and finishing with good length, this is an impressive red that should show well for another 5 years or more. Drink now-2022.
