Domaine Vocoret et Fils Chablis 1er Cru Les Forêts

Pale gold. Nose of white flowers, stone, hints of white grapefruit, faint apple. Layers of angular grapefruit, late-appearing granny apple, stone, and flint on the incisive palate. Crisp acidity. Some oak showing. Longer finish of white citrus, slim apple, and rinsed stone. Very young and a bit disjointed but still accessible and a good pairing with baked trout. Consumed on Pender Island.

Serious Chablis - briny, acidic, focused and pretty tasty.
