Domaine Le Couroulu Vacqueyras

Very drinkable, but not a lot of identifiable qualities here. Still, for the price, I can't complain.

Deep, blood red; meaty (Mourvedre led), lacks class but has character; substantial, rugged, characterful; gutsy finish. Loads of time in hand. May yet round out....but is that the point? score 16

Deep, concentrated, characterful, has both vigour & style. Whilst too young, really enjoyable. 16> Blood red; lovely purity of fruit, plummy, smokey, dense; soft, lush even, supple, fleshy; firm finish. Drinking well now, with plenty of time left. 16 just.

Rhone & Spain Dinner: Blind 1 - Roasted stones - clearly Grenache, but not "Grenachey" or light. Medium-bodied and silky with a little bit of oak mixed in with the Kirsch, cherry, and raspberry fruit. Late acidity. Touch of pepper. Pretty nice.
