Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard Pernand-Vergelesses Les Pins

Clear, medium yellow, watery rim. Clean nose, citrus, ripe apple, honeysuckle, toffee, hints of nuts. Medium palate, quite a strong mineral streak, fruits very evident, lots of complexity. Medium+ finish. Very good wine, I really enjoyed this. Good value, drinking very well.

What a difference a year makes. Colour was light straw, a nose of oatmeal, some lemon and a little oak. On the palate it was lemon with some added complexity that made it full and dry but refreshinging. This was a very good wine. 88 points

Fresh and clean lemony on the palate and a bit creamy, nice mineral finish. I think excellent value and a good few years left and should develop a bit more

Fairly indistinct nose and palate - some lemony fruit, a touch of minerality and fresh finish but ultimately falls a little short for what you would expect for £18
