Pale straw colour. Initially closed on the nose and palate, it opened up after about half an hour. It's definitely on the wane, but still quite nice. Pith and oatiness on the nose. The palate is very smooth and light, with an acidity that comes in late. Not especially long, but at this point very moreish. I bought a case for about £20/bottle, and I think it's very nice at that price. Won't last that much longer, so I'll be …

Bright straw colour with streaks of green. Exceptionally young looking. Expressive nose peach, red apples, chalk and a steely feel. Medium to full bodied, apples and citrus combined with chalk. High acidity lifts the aftertaste, long and steely, with a small hint of alcohol. Still a young wine that needs at least 3-4 years of aging.

Loveley aromas of grape fruit, Canary melon, lemon, yellow apples with overtones of butter, bacon fat and vanilla undertones. Oily texture, good concentration and decent length with a mineral touch.

Wine tasting with 10 others. Drank this alongside the Montmains to show to the others that there are differences between sites. This was a good premier crus Chablis, everything it should have been, good clean. Lemony palate with a great finish. This was similar to the Montmains but had less oomph. One person commented that the Vosgros felt watered down compared to the Montmains 87 points

Southern exposure gives the wine a generous, fruit forward style (unmistakably Old World though thanks to the acidity) and to quote Jasper Morris, Viognier like floral notes, honeysuckle, white flower, citrus notes. Long finish with mineral notes at the end.

Au Filet Un nez de bord de mer, iode, citron et menthe. La bouche est pure et fraiche, belle densité, plus fruitée que minérale à ce stade. Beaucoup de matière et un très bon potentiel de vieillissement. 91+ pts
