Tasted the age, but still very enjoyable and fruity. Nice wine

Montre un peu d'évolution, sur la terre et les végétaux qui sont toujour là. Cassis et eucalyptus mais en retrait. Tannins fondus avec acidité assez faible. Fluide t court en finale. Pas aimé.

A few tears shed on this one. Cork slightly dry but otherwise intact. Brick with a pale rim. Mostly black fruit with a background hint of forest or earth - not sure. Soft palate, lots of sediment into the last glass. RIP

Pulled a hidden bottle out from the cellar....delish. Brick colored when pouring and ruby/garnet in the glass with not much sediment. Black fruit, ripe plumb, anise, candied orange peel, herbs de provence. Smooth with wonderful lip smacking juiciness. Even better after a day in the decanter (with a glass ball stopper). Nice surprise and glad to have several more.

Nicely integrated balanced wine. Darker fruits with earthy and fig notes. Color is now orange/brown and headed toward the end of its life. Great bottle of wine from the start and to the end.

dark almost black in colour. Tar and black fruit on the nose. On the palate , mostly vegetal flavours. Maybe past its prime. Will check out the newer vintages I have before purchasing more.

Rough around the edges when first opened but after 4 hours in the decanter it mellowed very nicely. Blackberry, cedar and coffee aroma. Dark berry, plum and tobacco on the palate with a nice touch of sweetness and smooth tannins on a nice medium finish.

- Brick color and aromas of plastic and burnt toast. It's lacking fruit and has flavours of plastic, black pepper, burnt toast, moldy and alcohol with a medium body. Coarse texture with a short finish.

Bright, cherry, spice and cedar scent. Rich, currant, coffee, earth, mint and a hint of chocolate flavor. Finishes with ample fine tannins.

Dark red. Nose with wild cherry and smoke. Powerful red, with Dark fruits, wild cherry, almost balanced, but on dry side, chewy and chunky tannins, concentrated, but suspicious of over extracted core, a bit coarse, a bit of smokiness, medium length with some bitterness.

Don Melchor Night (Rick's & Cris') : Inky crimson color. Aromas of loam, spice, plum and blackberry with a subtle grapefruit note too. Medium- to full-bodied, with chalky tannins and flavors of plum, black fruit and loamy earth.

PnVnD let breathe for 2.5hrs. Dense purple black right to the rim. Smoky cassis plum rosemary and cedar aromas. Medium(+) weight very smooth. Plummy mid palate and dark fruit and tobacco finish. Big ripe black fruit flavors with balancing acidity and notes of cedar, dark chocolate, plums and herbs. Not OTT on the Chilean cedar component. Big in an elegant way. Great value wish I bought a case.

This is a retrospective TN -- I forgot to post it when I drank this wine. A decent Cab Sauv. Benefited a bit from breathing. I did not decant. A little uni-dimensional as I recall.

Had this first in 2008. Quite integrated since then. The time to drink is now.

It has 21 months since I tasted this vintage. It is aging beautifully with the absence of tannins. The wine is blending nicely with all the below mentioned qualities enhancing as time has gone by. This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is dark purple in color with aromas of tobacco and currants. It tastes of vanilla, raspberries and cherries. There is a nice structure and is quite balanced. At $9.95 this is a big win for the price!

90-91 A medium garnet ruby red color; Piercing aromatic nose of blackberry, toasty vanilla spice, tobacco and hints of violets; The palate is rich and supple with deep dark berries, tobacco w/hints of earth and toasty oak well integrated into the overall texture. Sultry tannins and just enough acidity give it enough structure and make this food and roast ready, finishing well. Very much a steal at this price but did have to wait about 2 years.

Dark red color. Aromas of black fruits, tobacco, coffee and earth. Medium-bodied fruit in the mouth with good depth and length. Ripe but ample tannins that softened considerably after about 20 minutes. Not very complex but a very good wine with food and a good value.

Not much to say. Tastes like Cabernet and is a good value at the $14 I spent. Good basic varietal character, but simple and not much secondary characteristics. But a good everyday wine.

Opened at a large BBQ so no detailed notes. This was very solid. The oak is pretty well integrated now and the wine is pretty balanced. Nothing about this bowled me over but it was quite pleasant with a steak.

This was my last bottle. I kept it to follow this wine's aging. Compared to previous bottles opened between 2007 and 2009, this was quite evolved with a lighter, ruby-garnet colour and more elegant nose with sweet dark cherries, coffee, leather (very intense initially, but fading with aeration) and nicely integrated oak. Less jammy and "Chilean" but deffinitely more complex and classy. Mid+ bodied, balanced, with firm (softening with aeration) tanins, rich fruit in the mid-palate and long finish. Fantastic …
