M&S describe 2009 Le Froglet Shiraz as "a ripe, rich, smooth red wine" with "gorgeous flavours of chocolate and blackcurrant" and "subtle, warming, spicy depths and a soft finish." Personally I found intense stewed rhubarb on the nose (I love rhubarb!) and a medium bodied palate with generous helpings of red berry fruit. No great length, but perfectly drinkable.

Super stuff for the price. Clear bouquet of Languedoc shiraz (and some Grenache?). Oaky. Fruity. Rather nice stuff. This needs a little air. 86-87

A bottle of inexpensive shiraz from southern France, nose of fresh rich shiraz, rather one dimension and slightly oaky, on the palate, intense red fruits with a touch of mint, low acidity, finish is quite moderate, good value for money in my opinion, nearly outstanding in terms of the price I paid!

Artificial tasting, like a cheap Aussie shiraz. Disappointing.

Opened the screw cap for 5 hours before my first sip. Dark, chocolaty and plenty of black fruits, good length. Quite similar to the Rhone Syrah. Everything was spot on and in balance. The Decenter and other wine awards for the wine gave me high hopes and …

Nos ostry i porzeczkowy. Usta nowoświatowe, ale końcóka dużo ostrzejsza i kwasowa. Mało przyjemne
