- Crimsom color and aromas of vanilla, rose and licorice anise. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of butterscotch, blackberry, vanilla and mushroom with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a long finish - Rose and vanilla nose Almost could be a robust desert with as much sweetness comes through the front but finishes nicely with a earthy tone. One glass will hold you over unless you enjoy a sweeter red.

Really enjoyable after dinner wine, even better after aerating; the chocolate, vanilla and blackberry flavors convinced us to order dessert, was great with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream.

This is a great after dinner bottle. It is by far the most chocolate I have every tasted in a non dessert wine. It can be enjoyed as the dessert itself which is what we did or with a nice creme brulee with fresh raspberries.

While the label describes this as a Red Table Wine, I find it very suitable as an option for a dry dessert wine. The reason I place this wine in the dessert category, despite the lack of residual sugar is the chocolate, cherry, and pipe tobacco notes on both the nose and the finish.
