We both really enjoyed this wine and would buy it again. Well balanced and was our first wine in our new aerator.

Too acidic, harsh, unrefined.

Very earthy merlot. Was a decent wine with our pepper beef, but have had better.

Better than expected, a welcome return to the varietal.

Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Deep garnet color. Light, simple nose of plums, cherries, a bit of earth. Better on the palate, as red-fruit flavors join with sandalwood tones in a medium body. Finishes fast with light tannins. Worthy and tasty.

Taste of Mendocino, nose of herbs, black cherry, and earth, same on the palate, simple, medium body, unexciting, OK, medium finish.

Nice medium tannins. Great pasta or lunch or white meat wine. A nice variation on my Cabernet obsession. This is not to be confused with right bank Bordeaux. buy again

Good $10 Mendocino Merlot '14 Bonterra. Mid-ruby; blackberry, jam, weedy nose; mid-body; decent acid/tannins; some style for the price. w/appetizers

Full bodied and rich with earthy notes. I very elegant Merlot but wasn't up my alley

nose: blueberry and oak; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, bright blueberry-blackberry fruit taste -- but, sadly, also oddly vegetal; medium-length finish tasting of chocolate, pepper, plum, and chalk; overall: modern-tasting wine with much to like but slightly marred by its not-quite-ripe-enough flavor notes; even so, it delivers a good QPR ($10.49) and should be a decent pairing with many grilled foods
