A fine representative of the appellation. We actually discovered St. Véran, which our wine adviser noted was underappreciated, here in the US via this maker and so carried on checking it out in Paris this year. A rich French vintage (not so on the California end of the "rich"spectrum) with pairs well with fulsome meals that still want whites. Mellow yet engaging spectrum of flavors, even umami.

Same golden color and great nose of our previous bottle. Grassy, vegetal notes blend well with wet stone and other minerally aromas. A little tart and thin on the palate at this point, giving it a somewhat watery finish. Likely at its end, but still a great value - especially early in the drinking window.

A favorite of ours, great French style chardonnay but on the heftier/meatier side.

Excellent value at $20. Though a little light in body, it has a nice minerality, acidity and controlled fruit with hints of tropical fruit

Wine has improved in bottle, medium bodied, light golden color, nice bouquet-grassy, vg fruit with acid, great balance with nice structure , complex, good value, drank with baked oysters, flounder and calimari, would drink again if I could find another bottle, last sips are wonderful with a fullness of flavor.

Pleasant enough $17 bottle of chard. Leaner like we like with just bordering on being round.

deep gold color, aromas of oil and mineralogy, tastes sweet citrus and some oily acidity. Well done.

Well-made $17 Chardonnay '15 Drouhin St. Veran. Sharp mid-gold; tropical, stone fruit, citrus nose; light-mid body; some style and varietal character for the price; semi-crisp finish. w/seafood, shellfish.

I need to define my system, but my wife says it’s very arbitrary. I think 70 is a good score against 100.

A very little bit of oak here but noticeable. Crisp but also rather light and no discernible depth. Fine for an aperitif but doesn’t much stand up to food. Acceptable, but many other superior choices in my mind for $15.

Straightforward nose of citrus reveals more complexity on the palate, with lemon, pear, and mixed spice on the nose. This certainly saw some oak during élevage, but it is hardly perceptible. Nicely structured. Drink over the next few years.

Nothing special, but not bad either. Light/medium-bodied, dry, crisp, with greenish fruit notes on nose and palate. Personally, would not buy again.

Balanced white wine, nice ripe fruit, ok acid, lots of flavor but wine never really established itself, flavors kept changing, drank easily, drank with shrimp with pasta and veggies and steamer clams, might drink again.

Crisp lemon that is mellow and balanced, subtle oak and butteriness. Pleasant but not distinctive

Popped and poured, and it is GOOOOOD!. Good light yellow-gold color with nice legs, and a nose that grabs your attention. Fresh clean fruit, banana, lemon, sawdust, vanillan oak. Really pretty. Excellent in the mouth, with great presence and mouthfeel. Seems to go on and on. This is a very clean, pretty white wine, with plenty of varietal characteristics and lovely freshness. 4-13-17-9: 93/100. This wine is cheap, yet it has it all going on; seems to be in first …

Clean and crisp with no noticeable oak. Good fruit and acidity. Minimal nose. decent finish. Similar to, but a cut above their Bourgogne blanc.

Some mineral and smokey on the nose, more kinda limestone mineral thing to it. Dan is into it in a big way and I can understand why.

Served chilled, pop and pour (with a screw top if you care). Medium weight in body with notes of over ripe fruit. Clean and pure with nice acidity and freshness. The fruit tends to taper off leaving the sour finish. Good +
