Lovely nose. Plum, fig, sultanas, dark cherry, along wide sandalwood and dried flowers. Touch of mocha and dried fruit and flowers on the palate. Showing nicely and still vibrant despite the age.

Fantastic and layered, with floral notes, spicy dark fruit, spice box aromas and a surprisingly fresh palate. Not showing much age at this time, the wine is clearly built for a long life. So glad I have more of these!

No formal notes but from memory. Not as evolved as I would have expected, still fairly primary with only moderate secondary development. Dark fruit on the nose and palate. Tannins mostly resolved with a lengthy finish. Great wine and no pan8c to drink yet.

Biggishly elegant with balanced fruit and loamy undertones. Very good.

Absolutely splendid. Alluring aromas of flowers, sandalwood, sweet smoke and spices jump from the glass, with a silky layered palate of ripe black and blue fruits overplayed with complex mineral notes. Finish goes on and on. I think it's at peak and will hold for some years, but certainly very pleasing right now.

This wine is living up to it's promise--complex and layered aromas are developing, with a palate that is elegant and evocative. Red and black fruits overlayed with a toasty and yet floral spiciness. Texture is silky and tannins are present but refined.

Drank on New Years Eve with a prime beef loin roast. Relatively unchanged from my note of 2 years ago, however, the wine did persist nicely past the 2 hour time frame. Decanted in advance of serving. Lots of nuances present as before, persistent long finish. Still perfectly in balance.

My first priorat. Wasn't sure what to expect. I agree with the most other reviewers.

Nice ruby color. Some slight gamy qualities to the nose along with herbs, earth, minerals, and bright red fruits. Medium bodied in the mouth, and the palate fills with a nice sweet edge mixed with oak. Tannin is soft, but the bright fruits add a nice top end that balances well against food. We paired this with a Spanish paella, and it worked well.

After about a one hour decant, a very expressive nose of spice box, mint, tobacco and ripe fruit. Full and rich on the palate, with fine tannins and good acidity. After two hours open, the wine shut down again, giving up little in the way of flavor or aroma. Still very young.

Wow, not sure why the Lots of acidity, but lots of fruit as well. No complaints from me. I bet it would pair great with food.

A fair amount of new oak on the otherwise subdued nose. Fairly dense but not terribly interesting. Could perhaps evolve well but at the asking price I sure won't find out.

First Tasting @ Giron (NK's Home) : Inkish. Perfumed infusion of burnt charcoal and ash. Varnish or piercing lavender accompanies plum-cherries fruits. Interesting lipstick rouge sashays past the palate leaving a trail of raw rose petals.

Spansk vinmesse (Oslo) : Fantastic priorato! Can easily hold 10-15 years in a good cellar. Black currant and spices on the nose. Full bodied and structured. Strong tannins. Long aftertaste. Very nice indeed.
