six nations tasting - (pyrmont wharf, sydney) : slightly sour plum fruit, chocolate notes. A touch short on the palate. Hmm.

I have never tasted any other Zin like this. Ruby out to the edges. Medium-bodied. Exotic, deep perfume of cedar, sandalwood, and bright red berries. Full, creamy mouthfeel. This wine transports me to a spa under the stars. Sustained finish, with those warm orange-wood notes refusing to die. Drinking beautifully now, on its own or with some good cheese, or rare duck breast. Don't waste this by quaffing it with burgers and hot dogs, unless they're of the artisanal variety.

Just as good and possibly a tad smoother on day 2. Evaluating from memory. Awesome value at $16!

A nose of cherry and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium bodied Zin, with cherry, raspberry, more creamy than jammy, some licorice and spice on finish. A bit different and interesting Zin, a good value. www.winelx.com

Just got at private wine store (TWHouse) and ~ 30$ CAN...A little different style Zin than what i was expecting with the almost over the top bottle marketing - but cool looking. The last couple of notes I would agree with, a little pricey for style. Medium bodied, a little thinner feeling with plenty of acid up front and some light vanilla/oak textured fruit that is medium/dark fruit - bramble berry/raspberry. The finish is a little strong with ETOH and …

A rich and complex Zin that delivers at a great price point. A must try at $25.

Medium bodied, dark cherry and raspberry flavors. Lacks the big dark fruit and spice I like in a zinfandel, but a solid wine none-the-less.

Dark fruit on the nose with hints of vanilla and no alcohol. The body is composed of dark fruit, vanilla, light tannins and a very long finish.
