Decanted and a decent amount of sediment removed. Colour is still intense in the dark garnet section. Opens initially with sherry and tobacco, that later fades into leather, tobacco, hint of truffle and some dried dark cherries. Good intensity throughout, lovely food wine, that is fully matured. Consumed for over an hour and was improving all the way. Perhaps should've given more airation in the begining. 13%

No decantation. Ruby with only light orange reflexes. Intense nose of cherries, tobacco, leather and minerals. Much tannin that will never be shed, but not unbalanced, crispy and structured and elegant. In a cool cellar this will hold and even develope for the next decade for sure.

Last bottle of 12, straight from cellar and not decanted, recent notes very good to very good indeed and in many ways still improving - still deep glossy red with little rim development; black cherry fruit, fresh, quite pure, trace of earth and graphite, quite classy and expressive for chianti; med full body, decent length and persistence, fruit fading very slightly but more nuanced than of yore and the better for it. Very good indeed. (17/20).

Fruit is still up and running, Gd acidity with the presence of tertiary flavour like leather n smoky kind of note. A balanced and an enjoyable wine, at it's peak now I reckon, 1 or 2 yrs left probably
