Tasted over lunch with Yalumba Colour is still pale green. Incredibly fresh, floral, green apple, just starting to take on some development. Great purity and becomes increasingly opulent the longer its open. This has a long life ahead. Very good.

Classic Aussie Riesling with all the tennis ball can and fresh cut garden hose that you could want. Super young looking, pale yellow, reductive at first. Acid driven, lemon Italian ice, lemon head candies, plaster dust, frozen margarita, petrol. Here's a weird tasting note: years ago, I was training for a bike ride and would frequently ride by a gypsum processing plant that manufactured drywall. The whole road was coated in white powder for a good half mile. The air …

Nick’s Riesling-a-thon (Must & Lees, Liverpool Road) : Very crisp nose; lemon sherbet, lime: just full on citrus. Still v primary. Perfectly knitted together and pleasurable now albeit with a very long life ahead of it.

Nick's Riesling-thon (Must & Lees, N1) : A change of pace from the European Rieslings and quite a different aromatic profile. Sherbet, fizzy lemon, a hint of sweat and rubber, chlorine, quince. Quite salty, chalky, angular. On the palate it's relatively extracted with a touch of phenolic bitterness, citrus fruit at its core with sharp, muscular acidity biting on the finish. I enjoyed it in the context of a tasting, but not sure what I'd do with it otherwise

Tasting Ground seminar, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay & Riesling (Mr Vertigo office) : Tight, austere, rubbery, green fruit in the back, not giving away much. Palate shows the same profile, tight, aggressively youthful, plastic notes, the fruit is nowhere to be found, high acidity, long firm steely finish Brutal

Very pale still. The nose has a real coolness about it--fresh lime and petrol, while the palate is quite light and ends with softness suggesting some residual sugar. For better or worse, a remarkable lack of toasty, developed notes.

Mine says Museum Release on the label too. Had Pewsey Vale rieslings before but not this wine. This is exactly what I'm looking for in a riesling with some bottle age. Clear pale lemon yellow with petrol notes on the nose to the fore, with extra lemon, spice and beeswax. Lovely balance between spicy citrus & tropical fruit - I'm sure I picked up some banana! - and a refreshing acidity on the palate. Delicious. May age but perfectly good-to-go …

Had alongside the 2011. They have both matured finely but the ‘12 is somewhat muted, dusty. It does however retain more energetic acidity, and seems it would probably benefit from further cellaring, going into a more mature state. Maybe hold for five years or so?

No question a solid step up from the regular Pewsey Vale which I often enjoy, especially in the summer months. While carrying the trademark lime note that I often get from Aussie Rieslings, this had so much more to offer than just fruit and quenching acidity. Specifically, it was the sensation of both saline and bitter traits that paired wonderfully off the lime and mineral flavors to create quite the lovely package. Long finish is clean and precise. Lovely. Under …

Kerosene, lime, flowers, earth, and some stone fruits on the nose. Lemon, lime, stone fruit, earth, and some minerals on the palate. Wow, the kerosene is so strong, though it blows off a bit with some air. (Reminds me of walking on a newly stained deck when I was a kid.) Bright, mouthwatering acidity, medium-long finish. Nice, crisp, dry riesling, though I think the kero was a little too much for me.

Stelvin cap. Mid lemon colour - nice and bright. Kerosene nose alright as befits the age of this wine. More lime than lemon on the palate - decent finish but a little chalky perhaps at the end. Nice wine - not complex perhaps but very decent.

This really is a tremendous Riesling, and has certainly mellowed and developed enough complexity to be absolutely delicious right now. Just beautiful harmony, line and length. Limes, lemons, white flower, hints of honey and wax. Minerally acidity. I had mine with fresh oysters, and it was the perfect combination for something memorable.

There is a little scale on the back label that ranges from dry to sweet and the needle is pinned all the way to dry. One often hears the phrase that goes something like "I don't like Riesling it's too sweet," which is sadly true for many on the lower price end of things. "Real" rieslings are otherwise - excluding for this discussion the ambrosial collection of auslese, beerenauslese etc. This is one that summons up echoes of the Mosel. …

{screwcap, 12.5%} Still a fairly light yellow colour. The palate is only really mildly developed, dominated at th Is age by lots of lemon curd underpinned by a steely note. The palate is a bit monolithic, medium weight, bone dry, still very lemony, with medium acidity and enough promise of structure that it might repay more cellaring in the hope of complexity, rather than just a bland patina of age. There’s a hint of steeliness that raises a promise of …

Looked great. Opened for the table blind and I thought it was pretty obvious what it was, clearly a SA Riesling with its cut-lime and ginger/kero aromatics. The palate looked as though it was lacking in acid a touch but the RS may have been overshadowing things there. I thought it was pretty balanced and was a great food complement.

The wine opens up with lime, kerosene, elderflower, chamomile and slight green apple characters on the nose. The palate is dry with a medium nose, and honeysuckle is evident. There is a bit of weight to the body (medium-). Very good: high topicity, a typical Riesling that is very well executed, but this wine lacks a sense of humour.

Under Argon Spritz. On the nose there is initially kerosene and lime notes but these subsist to reveal apple, spice and chalky notes. In the mouth the wine is juicy with flavours of muted lime and green apple, slight greengages and spice. It has a medium plus length and a fruit tingle carries on the finish. Nice, and mellower than I remember the first tasting.
