In a good place, above average syrah.

Lovely with lamb for Easter dinner.

Big brutish wine. Heavy mouthfeel, definitely a heavy weight. Aromas come at you with big chunky fruit ... cherries, plums and a big dose of peppers and meatiness. Flavours repeat. Some chewy tannins, drying. Just a big over the top wine. You have to be in the mood for this one. Will IMO overwhelm a lot of food. Big, heavy, thick, dark jammy compote. Not my favourite style but still drinkable. Decent acidity. Medium length finish with some bitterness to …

Plum with bay leaf and some light green pepper notes. Medium acidity with medium tannins with a gritty character with a slight astringency. Body is medium-light.

Nose of black plum, candied cherries, and white lilacs. Dry blackberry and sour cherry palate with a coarse layer of wood underneath. Sticky tannins on the finish with tart black fruits, notes of burnt caramel, and aged oak.

This might be one of the best QPR wines out there. After an hour decant this wine springs to life. I need to keep more of this on hand. Tremendous

Rich bold syrah. A nice alternative to CA syrahs. Still needs to have some air. Dark red and purple fruit. Big finish.

Drinking like a baby right now. With 3 hours of air it was still primary and felt tight. I think this bottle holds much greater promise, but I think it needs another 5 years at least. Maybe 10.

Red fruits, bacon fat, black olives, dried rosemary, and sautéed mushrooms. Super soft finish; probably ready to go now or over the next year. Not overly complex but good juice.

Somewhat of a bruiser in that wonderful Washington way. Nice minerality, nice layer of dark fruit, thick savory aspect but just to this side of funk, the touch of olives, bacon fat, and pepper are there but just barely. Yum!

Pleasant enough but far below the performance of other wines we have had lately from Carlisle. A tad astringent and muddled. Lighter red fruit and little depth. A good every day wine but alas the price meant it should have delivered more. If you still have a few bottles of this, I’d suggest you wait until 2022 or 2023 to see if the elements come together more nicely than they are now.

Great welcoming Syrah nose with slight tart cherries, slight floral bouquet with maple bacon. Love how the nose changes while in the glass. Very easy drinking; palate is big black fruits with subtle earthiness, and ever so slight cigar, mineral and pepper. Smooth and goes down easy, nice finish. Enjoyable. Kept drinking slowly over several hours (best way to spend a Sunday afternoon), and it became softer while maintaining the integrity of its early flavor profile. Floral nose elements expanding. …

Tannins quite present but not overwhelming. Mixed dark berries on the nose. Blackberry crisp on the palate but not sweet. Gains some spiciness and earthiness day 2 as tannins soften. Still young.

Big wine, lots of black and blue fruit when you open the door, minerality peaking through when you get inside but you're eyes are so covered in that fruit it's hard to see through and pick up much more complexity. Starting to think that K is not necessarily my style

Big and bold. Paired well with rib-eye. Smoke and dark fruit. For me, not as good as the motor city kitties i've tried. If i had more i would save it a few years more for everything to settle down.

P&P. Followed the 2015 K Phil Lane, and paled in comparison. While still quite tasty, it was less delicious and not showing as much complexity. Blackberry and plum fruit, a bit of wood and pipe tobacco. Drink now - 2025.

Feels dense and tightly wound currently even after decanting. Red and black fruit with black pepper, a little jammy upon first taste -- as it opened I got some of the herbaceous and leafy qualities, in my opinion they're split between fresh green leaf and drier rosemary and thyme. Nice sense of palate intensity, but this wine feels a little generic and imprecise. It's good, but feels like it could be a stand-in for a lot of pretty good new …

Brambly, leafy, cola- and cassis-scented nose with blackberry and currant flavors in the mouth. The tannins are very firm, but the fruit is equal to it. A very cabernet syrah. I might’ve scored it higher on pure enjoyment except it really does show more cabernet typicity than syrah. But it really is tasty. Drinking great now and for at least five up to ten years.

This was pretty wound up and with heavy tannins on day one. Second day was much more enjoyable. Very rounded dark fruits with some earth/soil. Lost some life on day three. Overall enjoyable, but not very focused and should probably be held for 2+ years.
