One of the better bottles I’ve had in some time. Perfect time to consume. Everything is balanced and integrated. Last of the close out bottles I got from a local supermarket for $17.

Dark ruby hue. Aromas of black cherry, black pepper, blackberry, cassis, chalk, chocolate, plum, raspberry. Medium body, with soft, silky tannins and plus acid. Medium-length finish. Elegant, smooth, and easy drinking. Versatile. A lighter-style California Cab. 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Syrah, 4% Petite Sirah, 3% Merlot, 2% Touriga Nacional, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Charbono.

Settling into drinkable red fruit forward for those who remember what BV once was... medium acid, mild tannins

Overall, too manipulated. Nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, and a bit of cola. This is too manipulated. Unbalanced, astringent, mid-palate with over ripe fruit.

Just a short 3 min double decanted and start consuming 30 min later. The wine is big, lots of fruit (a bit over the top for the first hour or so), good tannins, complex and good finish. The best days are still ahead or give it a 30-60 min decant.

2017 a tough year for Napa, but this wine was just fine. Dark fruits, integrated tannins, moderate structure, surprisingly high alcohol burn. Good wine, but not memorable by any means. Would not buy again but would drink it if offered a glass.

Bon produit de Napa, le Cabernet Sauvignon est soyeux et doux, belle couleur et nez assez prononcé. Ce produit s'améliore avec les années

See previous note; worth every penny of what I paid for it after coupon offer: $5. (No wonder they're dumping it - 85 for those who like new world manufactured cola. For me, it's 75.

Does not have the spice and pizzazz of the tapestry, but it delivers for the price. The wine looks purple colored. It tastes like stoniness, but not overly mineraly at all. The body is medium/full. The wine has polished texture.

A traditional cab by BV, good value for money and a decent choice when entertaining large crowds. I tasted it after decanting for 1hr 15mins and I got a strong vanilla, berries aroma. On the mid-palate, there are notes of black currant, plum and vanilla from the oak barrels. I don’t believe this is a first press depending on the price point and taste but very enjoyable. I paired it with margarita pizza, some ages cheese and fresh strawberries.

This is one of the best ‘17th Napa wine I have had so far. The body is bold, plenty of tannins, effect amount of fruit and oak, fairly complex at this stage and pleasant finish. This wine has lots of room to the upside. Tasted it at the winery. 94++

Drank alongside a $345 Colgin & a $300 Morlet… this was everyone’s favorite… just deliciously complex, drinking perfectly, great mouthfeel, just the right amount of fruit. Amazing.

Tasted blind. Aromas of blackberry, currant, black cherry and mocha. Flavors of blackberry, currant, cherry and mint. Ends with a 25 second finish with currant and mocha notes. Finished tied for second place.

Pretty well balanced in my opinion. Has the dryness that I love. Chewy cab, my fav. Went well with a home cooked filet. Idk I'm not a somelier but I really enjoyed this one.

Tight and a bit green upon opening, shows some promise with licorice and spice though, dark chocolate with bitter cacao and than dry chalky dusty Rutherford tipicity developing after a few hours. The next day this was a whole new beast, starting to come together nicely, fruit coming forward, still highly tannic but not as astringent as day one. Not surprising given my previous experience with BV they just need time…..This has promise and should be a gem in a …

Clear medium red. Cassis, warm earth, cherry and a hint of oak. Dry tasty cassis and red fruit and a dry tannic finish. I bought 2 of these each with a giant Riedel Winewings glass for $41 Canadian. It was more of an experiment than anything else. We actually enjoyed the glasses and did not hate the wine.

Full bodied cab lacking definition and needing time to absorb the obvious oak. Plenty of fruit there. Hoping a couple of years help.

Elements of Wine 2021 - My Class at GnG; 2/7/2021-12/31/2021 (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA) : 50% new oak (French, American, and European), 88% cab sauvignon along with small portions of petit verdot, merlot, and petite sirah. Saturated color, black berries, black currant jam, cassis, spice, molasses. Heavier toast giving dark chocolate, mocha, and coffee aromas and flavors. Fine dusty Rutherford tannins are there.

Wow, what a difference between this and the Rutherford. Here more cherry fruit and less tannin. More supple but without the density of the Rutherford.

Attractive notes of cherries, creme de cassis, fresh herbs, and a lick of Tootsie Pop sweetness. Displays really nice balance, melted textures, and a dusty element that would make me guess Rutherford rather than Napa fruit. This is ready to roll.
