Vie Vinum Tasting: Gruner Veltliner meets Roter Veltliner (Vienna, Austria) : (Tasted Blind): A mid-yellow colour. An interesting nose with plenrty of paw paw, hints of aniseed and ammoniac. Some old wood notes too and the wine is showing signs of evolution. The palate mirrors the nose, with old wood and prominent apple/pear skins with that tropical note twist. Intense and presents well with a medium to long finish. However, drink up.
