Shadows La Frontiere

This is a blend of 60% nebbiolo, 35% cabernet franc and 5% petit verdot. Dark purple color in the glass. A very Australian nose of sweet plums and brown sugar, but there's also a hint of rose petal, which is nice. With time the aromas opened up, and a little of that nebbiolo mushroom came out, along with some of that classic cabernet franc tobacco. The palate shows dry tannins and medium-to-low acid.
