Easy, pleasant, more depth than expected. More open than the GCs, but still age will help.

Much more open than the 2023 tried a few weeks earlier. Good Gevrey that will benefit from more a bit more time to digest its oak.

Trip through France tasting event. Although I knew this was infanticide, I was still expecting a lot from this wine. We opened a 2022 Roumier Chambolle-Musigny not long ago and it was stunning. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of graphite, flora, sweet dates, red cherry. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin.

Nez parfumé et super interessant, bouche un peu faible qui nous laisse sur notre faim malgré ses beaux aromes

Will not blow you away.

Still very primary but extremely well made. At this point, the red cherry flavors are prominent with a taut finish. This will be a beauty in about 5-8 more years in the cellar.

Took 3-4 hours in bottle to open up. Beautiful acidity and smooth tannins despite its age. Nosing was pronounced red fruit with a hint of dark fruit. Has slight perfume aftertaste. Suspected this was fermented with stem. definitely too early to drink but still very enjoyable.

Chez MG: mix of red and black fruit, well balanced, still young of course.

Bourgogne visit 29/10-1/11-2023 : Tasting of vintage 2022 from Barrels.
