Found a bottle improperly stored by my parents.......let it sit for 4 months, then opened it and decanted for an hour, nice aroma of cherries, flavor is berry, tannins have settled to the back, nicely integrated body, surprising fruit for this age, sort of wish i had found more.

Opened HUGE! Loved it, would have scored 90 or more based on first hour. Then something dropped out of the mid pallete, just a bit. Still a lovely wine. Cassis, and blue fruit reduction, followed by some dry spice box, a few hours later the vanilla and forest floor showed it's lovely presence. Not bad. Good, actually. Would say 2015 is your limit.

Love Corliss, so wanted to test out the second label. Underwhelmed. Nose was solid (dark fruit), but pallette was strangely sweet. Mouthfeel somewhat syrup-like.

Friends brought this over when we grilled hotdogs on 6/6/11. It had a deep, ripe, heavily oaked bouquet of smoke, cassis, charred wood and spice aromas. The palate was ripe, rich and oaky with flavors that exactly followed the nose.
