A pretty low intensity nose opened up to medium(-) intensity aromas of red fruits and chocolate syrup with hints of spice. Dry, high alcohol, medium body, with good acidity and smooth tannins drawn from the 30% Merlot in the blend. The palate shows medium intensity flavors moving from red to black fruits with decanting and a relatively short finish with hints of geranium. Paired well with turkey chili at home on a weeknight.
