Big nose of berry pie wafted several feet from the bottle. Immediate palate sensation is rhubarb type tartness, pomegranate, then a richer sensation of roasted red fruit. Unmistakably zinfandel.

Sierra Foothills and Lodi Tasting; 12/29/2011-12/30/2011 : Deep carmine color with dark berry, and bittersweet chocolate aromas. On the palate, creamy with dark raspberry and black cherry flavors. Medium finish.
