Castillo de Viñas Rioja Blanco

25 months after the prior: white pepper; dusty. Still it remains quite fresh. And it’s versatile with a range of foods. Very enjoyable over three nights, and a super value.

Aroma of orchard fruits with streaks of honey and vanilla; fresh and attractive. On the palate, cool lemon-apple with plenty of acidity and a nice touch of salinity. Fairly light-bodied but with a bit of silky roundness. Fresh, refreshing, highly drinkable. Not exactly interesting or complex, but well put together; for the modest price tag, the quality is there.

Bright yellow golden. Balanced, with lovely acidity. Savory. Saline. Perhaps there is a bare hint of (pleasant) oxidative character? Very enjoyable over four nights.
