Strong medium bodied, fruit forward read. Pepper and earth notes very complimentary. Excellent value wine that is holding up well.

Had a taste at a tasting. Aromas of earth, smoke and dark fruit. The palate shows a nicely aged wine, in a good spot right now just not quite as complex as the nose.

Medium-dark ruby purple color. Nose two inches above the rim of cherry, dark fruit, and some oak. Flavor reflects the nose with addition of a mineral grip (smoo-ooth tannins), juicy acidity, and a light/full dichotomy on the palate. The finish is long and mouthwatering, with a tobacco kicker. Lots of character. Excellent wine.

Scary Good Reds, Rated 90 Points and Above (Farpointe Cellar) : Earth and cherries on the nose, with floral notes and incense, and some burnt wood at the end. Sweet and juicy on the palate, with cherry and spice, some rose petals, and a good toast finish.

First time I had this wine at a friends house I really enjoyed it so much that I went out and purchased a bottle. Decanted for about an hour. Fairly closed on the nose, even after an hour, some hints of cherries did come through. On the palate is lots of fruits, cherries, green peppers and petrol on the back palate. Was not impressed with this wine, very one dimensional and lacked any kind of structure. Very disappointed.

Suitable for Tinto de Verano (wine and sprite), but not enjoyable alone. One of the weakest Ribera's we have sampled. Not aged well.

This Spanish wine provides nice texture, berries and bit of black cherries. Full bodied wine, medium + acid, and a bit harsh tannins. It needs some more time in the bottle although it"s been 3 years since harvest. Dark chocolate, Cinnamon and hint of chocalate truffles. Highly rated by Parker -91 points. I will stick to 89 - 90 points.

Drank over two nights. Notes are from 2nd night. Generous nose of cherry, raspberry and tobacco. The fruit carries through on the palate, and introduces some additional licorice notes on the finish. Oak is well integrated and adds richness - but there is good acidity making this a great food wine. Incredible QPR at $12. Drink this over the next few years.

I really enjoyed this wine. firm tannins kept in check by the tastes of smokey cherries and raspberries. Lots of spice on the front of the tongue which made it match well with the sausage and peppers I had for dinner. Paid $17 for the bottle, but would have still been happy had I spent twice that

Ripe fruit: cherries and raspberries. A hint of leather. New world style. Light tannins. Somewhat one dimensional, but a pleasant drinking table wine. Drank with burgers and stir-fried Asian greens--simple but good.
