Deep ruby. Black cherry, black pepper & spice nose. Smooth, medium bodied, well balanced, medium tannins. Dark fruit, earth, mushroom, dried fruit palate. 60% mencia, 30% prieto picudo (never heard of it) & 10% alicante bouschet. 1st bottle of 6. Very good wine. I think that it should be fine until 2030, possibly a little longer.

Medium ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with strawberry, red plum, dried herbs, black pepper, licorice, wet stone, flint, sulfur, cedar, smoke, crowberry, juniper berries and mushrooms. Pronounced taste of strawberry, red plum, dried herbs, black pepper, licorice, cedar and wet leaves. Medium (+) long and dry finish. High acidity. High tannins. Medium body. Closure a little compromised with extensive seepage. Deep garnet in colour. Nose is quite herbal with red fruit. Big palate - on opening this was a very full and harmonious blackberry - on oxygen contact this seemed to slip away with an intrusive acidity coming through. Quite heavy tartrate deposits. Based on this bottle (which may be affected by a less than perfect seal) do not decant and drink quickly!
