The elevage is still overwhelming the fruit right now. This is really easy to drink but lacking terroir typicity right now. On the other hand, that could pass for a young gevrey quite easily.

Can't get enough of this, literally... DJ has become quite the hot commodity, though for some reason most of the attention goes to their whites. The reds are just as good! Aromas of sweet dark cherry, cassis, and black raspberry, blood orange, alpine breeze, peonies, ginger, beets, peppery spice... raw and primary on the palate, gorgeous fresh fruit coats the palate, tannins are fine but prominent, acids supportive and easy-going. Once again a really good wine from this producer. Maybe a bit shy on the nose but the balance between acidity and fruit is perfect. That’s the kind of pinot I like!

4 hour decant. Sweet but still slightly muted perfume. Lovely sweet red fruits, a bit of the blues on the back of the tongue. A very nice spice profile, and just the perfect hint of acid on the finish. Really nice wine and a 1er cru value.
