This bottle held up longer than expected. The Tannins were still present and was smooth. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like black pepper. It tastes like plum, cherry, mineral and black pepper. The body is medium. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

This bordeaux blend from South Africa showed a modern character, intense in the nose, with red fruit flavors. Some tobacco and smoke was perceptible, as if to reinforce its roots and style orientation. In the palate it showed a medium body, a little lacking for my taste, but nonetheless the tannins were ripe, soft , and reinforced the flavors felt before in the nose. Got better over time. Very smooth, great balance. Dark fruit.

Oh wow! Dark in colour with pronounced rusting, the nose is to die for; sweet chocolate, cool mint, vanilla and a touch of farmyard. Perfectly balanced in the mouth, fine tannins, a touch of acidity, a little savoury aspect and a big dollop of chocolate with a warming finish - this is a pleasure to drink, a superb wine. 91-92pts.

Was great on the first night - expressive Bordeaux-style nose, good depth and body. Lots of cassis, some oak and vegetal characteristics. After a day in the decanter it had gone downhill. I would drink up although there clearly is life left in it.

Very much bordeaux style. Soft merlot is still in a good shape there, while cabernet has softened. As a result very good bordeaux. Medium to full bosied, nice development in the glass. Excellent for this money

Note applies to day2 after 2/3 bottle sat corked overnight in the fridge; breathed in open bottle for 1-2 hours. Very dark, purple-red color. Rich bouquet full of spice and blueberry and pencil shavings and raspberry cedar-scented oak. In a blind taste you'd be excused for picking this as a Pauillac. Very much Bordeaux in style, with cassis, leather, pencil shavings and generous fruit. Very nice and balanced, and certainly a good value. Drink now and in the next 5 years.

Excellent QPR. Decent weight, structure and fruit on day one but a bit rough and angular; reminded me of a cheap Aussie. Day two was much, much better. I agree with most previous tasters in general accept that the wine reminds me of a good Portuguese blend more so then a BDX. But I can relate to the French connection as well. I will buy more this for sure.

this wine is ruby colored with a lovely smoky, poopy and black cherry-filled nose. wonderful! on the palate, however, this is lush and rich, with smooth, harmonious tannins, licorice, cinnoman, red cherries, rasberry jam and a long, smoky finish. wow, this brings a lot of personality for $15. got it on sale for $11. ridiculous qpr. this opened up with air and would improve for several more years.

This tastes exactly like a decent Bordeaux. Much more so that the Meritages from California. The nose is fantastically fruity and smoky. The smoke returns on the palate with flint and dark cherry. Great stuff. Bought it for $15!
