Beguiling nose of red fruit and faint minerals. Light bodied and feminine - bright, soft red fruit with nice minerality and a smooth, if somewhat simple finish. Sufficient acid. Very good with simply cooked King salmon.

No formal notes, from memory. Riedel Wine line Burgundy glasses. Decanted and drank - no rest after decant. Light, nearly transparent red in the glass. Very pretty, feminine, medium nose of minerals and red fruit. Light body. Beautiful, delicate red fruit with a strong mineral element. Very nice depth. Nice acid. No wood noticeable. More minerals and delicacy on the medium length finish. Grew in the glass over an hour and a half. Very much like a 1er cru Burgundy …

Spatburgunder at The Wine Country (The Wine Country, Signal Hill, CA) : Very big nose of red fruits and clean wood with a slight hint of dark chocolate & an even slighter hint of vanilla. Big clean red fruit with very good depth and complexity. Great balance. A pleasant but not overpowering layer of wood on top of the fruit adds a wonderful complexity. Fine tannins. Long "feminine" finish of finesse and complexity. Another ccrackling bargain at $30. Definately ageable.
