A lighter touch Chard with less of the wood and more of the zip. Leaner, on its toes, with good length and acidity.

Nose has some pear but isn’t super fruity, more like jasmine with some salty mineral, some earthy funk and a bit of oak (it does get more buttery as it’s open a while but the palate stays relatively fresh). The salinity and acid (M maybe even leaning M+) are good, slightly lacking in concentration. At $30-some retail qpr is maybe average, I got it for $17 in a Last Bottle mystery case and it’s very good qpr at that price. …
