Dry, medium high tannic, medium full bodied and medium acidity. Would definitely recommend decanting this one. Initially still pretty closed and just a bit was going on on the palate. Decanting for 2 hours changed the wine entirely. Mellow tannins, blackberry bit of Nicely integrated oaky notes of vanilla and chocolate, bit of pepper too. I enjoyed the 2013 vintage of this wine but I think this 2018 is rather different in character due to the proportion of Syrah falling from 83% to 56% in favour of Cabernet Sauvignon now up to 37%. This accounts for rather sharper and brighter fruit giving a more Atlantic rather than Mediterranean character (if I may be allowed European analogies?) and perhaps a tad more structure.
