Medium to dark purple. Attractive nose of cherry and vanilla. The palate is enjoyably fruity - cherries and raspberries - with a distinct creamy vanilla element. Good acidity, and some fine tannins. A fairly simple wine, but not without character. I feel it is at the end of its plateau now; don't think it is going to improve. Cork, 13.5%.

Dark purple colour. Intensely black fruity with taste of blackberries, blueberries and cherries or blackcurrant. Higher refreshing acidity with lower tannins. Slight notes of bittereness. Good QPR.

It's amazing what enough airing time does to this wine; it jumps from acceptable to excellent in a couple of hours. Full bodied, elegant and complex. It shows extracted and earthy nuances of blackberry, elderberry, cloves, vanilla, tobacco and nutmeg. Smoky finish with bright acidity and structured tannins. I can only imagine how good it's going to get in a couple of years...
