Castell d'Encus, Costers del Segre, Thalarn

Je confirme mes impressions d’il y a quelques années. Beaucoup beaucoup de fruit mais ça reste frais et équilibré . Belle longueur . Très bon!

Pas donnée cette Syrah espagnole, mais elle vaut bien ses 54$. On y retrouve le côté poivré/épicé habituel mais aussi un beau fruit et une élégance plutôt rare chez les vins ibériques. C'est large et long en bouche; excellent avec un magret de canard du Marconi, à peine saignant, rapporté et réchauffé à la maison.

Tres belle Syrah. Nez: cuir, cèdre, cool-aid aux fraises. Bouche très fraîches mais onctueuses, tannins très fins, bonne acidité et belle longueur.

Syrah : Young and strong, good with food, but really shouldn't be drunk now, too much of a fruit bomb at this stage, lacks elegance.

High Altitude Vineyards (Plus Private Dinner at restaurant García de la Navarra) (Vila Viniteca - Madrid) : Obscure colour presenting purple rims. Amazingly Shiraz on the nose, hot and peppery with that artificial, heavy touch, sightly a plastic aroma that announces a future minerality. At least I hope so. Mouth is quite similar to that nose, fatty and doughy but alcoholic. It is non-sense for the appellation, in my illiterate opinion, to use this varietal. In fact I love Ferrer …
