This tasted good but to my mind not like a Chianti -- it lacked the acidity and the forward cherry flavors caused palate fatigue.

My first experience with a Chianti... Was impressed - not as acidic as I thought it would be, subtle flavors (cherry mainly).

Lots of cherries. Not nearly as acidic as most chiantis. I typically don't go for chianti, but this wasn't bad. It isnt a must with food as most chiantis.

This is the first bottle I've truly been disappointed with in a while. Even after an hour in the decanter the aromas never really opened up. What I did get was really musty with a little plum underneath. I thought it was rather acidic, and had a mildly tart finish with almost no tannins or structure. I have 2 more bottles so I'm hoping for some bottle variation or that it just needs more time in the decanter.

Medium red color. Lots of cherries and fruit on the nose. The taste is well balanced between fruit and acidity. Not much tannins, but very delicious now.

Classic Old World. Earthy nose. Dry and dusty. Nicely balanced tannins. And not as acidic as many Chianti Classicos. A Chianti that would go well with or without food.
