This was really good, don’t wait to enjoy this as I think we are at tail end of its life - on opening was a bit funky but after 20-30 minutes hit its stride

Popped and poured with dinner (baked Alsakan salmon w/Miso glaze and coleslaw). Spicy red fruit on the palate and red fruit on the nose. An enjoyable pairing with salmon from my annual trip to Ketchikan to go salmon fishing.

No detailed notes, but excellent as always from this producer

I opened this to reward Sue for a long drive from MD on Thanksgiving Eve. It drank quite well, with notes of blackberry, currant and cherry (but no chocolate this time). It was a good pairing with our DeGiornio supreme pizza, with pork sausage, fennel and herbs added. Not as good with our chicken pot pie. Drink now or age. We paid $24 plus shipping. Good value at that price. (Winery retail is $55)

5/31/2017 - 92 - We had the rest of the bottle (Coravin from the night before) and it drank similarly, with notes of blackberry, currents, cherries and some chocolate. I think I under-rated the wine last night

5/30/2017 - 91 - Blackberry, currant, cherry and some notes of dark chocolate. A tasty, fruit-forward wine. Not complicated but drinking well now. Sue really enjoyed this wine. We paid $24 / bottle and good value at that price point. (Vs. $55 retail). Drink now or maybe age.

Dark ruby, medium-full body, fruity aroma. Starts with ample acidity that fades relatively fast, slightly flabby. Indistinct fruit flavors without differentiated flavor elements. Not a complex wine. Pleasant but disappointing for the $ paid (less than $30 OK but a better alternative is the 2013 RR generic bottling - very good). Looked for the Soul Patch - ironically cheaper - sounded much more interesting but sold out. No repeat. Not obvious this will improve with time.
