Roger Jaffelin Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes

Perhaps the most complete and certainly one of the best wines I have had this year. It is cerebral, offering up different savoury smells with every sniff. There are notes of compost, leather, raisins and iodine. It has a deliciously sensual palate, with waves of sweet vinous things that lap around the gums. There are no hard edges and the wines structural elements are fully resolved. Length of flavour is phenomenal.
