Stassen Blauschiefer Riesling

Enjoyed a weekend at Mittelrhein wine region (UNESCO heritage), where we stayed at Weinbergschlösschen and had a Stassen wine tasting at the Stassen vineyard closeby. In total, we tried 14 different wines. Bought 4 different ones. By now, I finished both bottles Blauschiefer 2016. This is one of Stassens most popular wines and already sold out by now. Typical regional minerality, lime and summer fruits. Rather on the sweeter side compared to his other Rieslings, e.g. Spätlese trocken or Quarzit. …
