Not as pleasing as it was couple of years ago. Deep hues with definite evidence of age. The fruit flavors seemed a bit hollowed out and edgy or metallic. That said, a good level of acidity and mostly resolved tannins made it food friendly, and the finish was somewhat complex. Nevertheless, time to drink up.

Light, earthy with delicate fruit, some rough tannins, drank easily with magret of duck with blueberry gatronomique, enjoyed it with all the above characteristics, not a statement wine but a great food wine, will be on the lookout for more Ernest wines.

Ok bouquet, savory, subtle but flavors have depth, good structure, smooth tannins, lots of complexity, interesting package, light but flavors have intensity, drank with boneless pork chops with quinoa, will drink again, 13%abv from Sonoma.

I don’t know, this bottle was a bit heavier with some bitterness, nice herbal bouquet, medium bodied, good fruit but earthy, drank with salmon croquettes, will drink again.

Excellent balance of fruit and tannins; drinks easily, lots of flavor, stands up to many types of food, drank with clams in black bean sauce,poached flounder with fried rice and chinese veggies, will drink again, an enjoyable wine even on a hot summer day on the porch.

The nose on this is a modest cherries and spice. The palate is very open and fleshy with red and black fruits, herbs and spices. It is a tasty straight ahead pinot with nice flavor but lacking much extra that could make it better wine.
