Purple with fading edge. On the nose baked cherries with a slightly smokiness and black pepper. Surprising amount of red fruit - mostly cherries - on the pallate along with spices and earthy/leafy tertiary notes one would expect given the age. Some decent acidity giving this a certain freshness and and a decent finish. Not the most complex Burgundy pinot noir but certainly enjoyable and felt good value for the age and flavour on offer. Probably past its peak, but still had some pretty fruit and dusty earth notes. No Brett that I could detect, so I guess that makes me the winner.

Low-level brett, but drinkable. Will avoid producer in the future.

Pop and pour, then followed over 4 hours. Initially there was a lot of brett, but most of it blew off after about 30 minutes. What remains is a smooth, easy-drinking and incredibly boring Burgundy. In its favor, it is still perfectly drinkable and in good shape. On the negative, no significant secondary or tertiary flavors. Downright boring. Day 2 was similar but the brett had increased.

I think the bottle had some taint, but it was more flat and bitter than sour. Very harsh. I am not a fan of this producer based upon the few older bottles.

En flaske drukket over to dager sammen med en 2010 Pavelot Savigny Les Beaune. Korken er mer brun og lukter skogbunn. Sterkere i lukten, nesten portvin. Mørkere brunskjær i fargen som heller over mot orange. Denne er også lett i smaken, men litt mer alder (mose, skogsbunn) i smaken. Smaker nesten som en litt tynn portvin. Mye smaker, uten å være kraftig. Ikke søt. En kald syrliget i midten, lang syrlig ettersmak. Ikke fullt så mye syre når den ble …

Sliten vin, kanskje en dårlig flaske.

Mye jordkjeller på duft, litt uren lukt som ble bedre med lufting. Mye syre, litt rips og lite tanniner igjen.
